As the winter days draw to a close, Iran’s vast and diverse landscape becomes home to an abundance of various native flowers. Shekufeh, also known as cherry blossoms, bloom amongst the trees, and Hyacinth flowers are placed on the Haft-Sin tables for the literal representation of Spring. Many families also include tulips, a prominent flower in Iran. In this second look, the blouse consists of a digitally printed photograph of hand-made organza flowers. The bell-sleeves are then decorated with those same flowers for added dimensionality and texture.

This paneled skirt was first developed on a single bed knitting machine. The technique involves short rowing small sections to create scallops made of monofilament and rayon. In between scallops, rows of elastic are knitted to give the structure buoyancy and volume. For the final product, the panels were created by an industrial knitting machine.
